As the astute observer will notice, you can read the above statement in two ways:

(syrupy sweet voice) "Oh, they *deserve* each other!" (sigh)

or

(snarling, derisive voice) "Oh, they *deserve* each other!" (snort!).

It's up to you to decide which is more accurate. Those who know us both well will tell you there's more than a grain of truth in both interpretations. At any rate, we really got married, it's not just an elaborate April Fool's joke!
